Mission Federal ArtWalk Returns to Little Italy April 29-30

San Diego’s premier arts and cultural event, Mission Federal ArtWalk, is coming back to the streets of Little Italy on April 29 – April 30 to celebrate its 33rd year as the largest fine art festival in Southern California. The 17-block wide event features over 350 local, national and international artists coming together for a free two-day festival filled with art, live entertainment, food, drinks, and more.


The festival will showcase every medium, including painting, sculpture, glass work, photography, fine jewelry and more. New this year, will be the live mural work of famous muralists Mario Torero and Maxx Moses. Mission Federal ArtWalk will also feature live musical performances on multiple stages, interactive art activities for kids and those kids at heart, street food and many other special attractions.


Below is a list of the new and exciting interactive elements of Mission Federal ArtWalk 2017:

  • Participate in live large-scale mural and paint alongside famous local muralistsMario Torero and Maxx Moses.
  • Experience a printmaking project using unique monoprint gel inking plates with sponsor Artist & Craftsman Supply. 
  • Cirque du Soleil’s family-friendly show, Mystere, will have an interactive mural located near KidsWalk on Beech Street for families and attendees to participate in.
  • Paint in 3D using the interactive virtual reality technology hosted by Cox Communications, by using a tilt brush that allows attendees to create their own world using virtual reality goggles.
Mission Federal ArtWalk will be located between Ash and Grape Streets in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
