ArtWalk Liberty Station will be the weekend of August 13-14. The free-weekend long event features over 200 artists from around the globe—showcasing every medium. New to this year’s ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will be multiple interactive art exhibitions that will give attendees the opportunity to engage with the artists and become a part of the art! Below are some of the highlights happening this year:
- Nan Coffey will be creating an ArtWalk @ Liberty Station exclusive “Inclusion Art” piece, working on it at the event and encouraging attendees to share their stories with her to have a chance to be selected to be featured in her 10’ x 12’ painting. Nan will be connecting 100s of people together by creating the iconography of people’s stories that are shared with her on Facebook and at ArtWalk @ Liberty Station in the painting.
- James Yuransky will be encouraging attendees to help him create his next 3D masterpiece—asking them to paint small multi-sided geometric objects at the event, that will then come together to form a painting created by attendees at ArtWalk @ Liberty Station.
- Artist & Craftsman Supply will be leading an interactive art project for all to get involved in—giving each attendee the opportunity to create their own nature inspired art piece, only using paint and paper!
- Butterfly Effect will take off at ArtWalk @ Liberty Station for the first time, sending attendees on a scavenger hunt to find four butterflies hidden throughout the venue. Once participants find them, the organization will donate money to a charity of the finder’s choice.
Along with the art and these highlights, attendees will also be able to enjoy live music, interactive art for kids and the kids at heart, delicious street food options and a wine and beer pavilion in a beautiful al fresco setting.
