It's that time again...back to the races at Del Mar! Each weekend, the race track at Del Mar comes alive with a celebration of horse racing and refined sportsmanship. It's truly a family setting, with entertainment and weekly events to carry the party beyond the racetrack. From concerts to food trucks to BBQ showdowns, there is something new and different to do each week at Del Mar.
This past weekend was not only opening weekend, but also the BBQ State Championship! Dozens of BBQ caterers and restaurants vied to be named best! Patrons eagerly lined up for a taste of the best of the best, crowning the winner in the end!
And of course, racing!
For more starstruck excitement, you can actually meet the horses! No great pics of this, as the horses are very sensitive about cameras, but we even were able to pet one! Such a great afternoon!
