Bloody Mary Halloween Roundup

barleymash
Dine downtown at barleymash, where the owner and staff believe that life is meant to be sipped and savored. Do both during their weekend Wake n’ Bacon Brunch, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy exclusive dishes such as the Citrus Vodka Ceviche or Duck Puppies to complement a tall Stoli Hot Bloody Mary.
Fig Tree Café:
If you’re craving classic breakfast items, look no further than Fig Tree Café. Choose from an array of ingredients to stuff your omelets or top off your egg “bennies” while you sip on a Bloody Mary. You can order your cocktail mild or spicy (to offset a sweet stack of French toast) at any of their three locations in Pacific Beach, Hillcrest and Liberty Station.
Heat Bar & Kitchen:
Although it’s known for locally- and seasonally-sourced ingredients, we love Heat Bar & Kitchen because all of their house cocktails and featured wines are available in carafes during brunch. What better way to wash down a country chicken fried steak or quiche Lorraine than with a carafe of the Heat Bloody Mary, an inspired infusion of soju, sake, house made Bloody Mary mix, celery stalk, olives and cucumber.
Tavern:
For brunch at the beach, turn to Tavern for “Kegs & Eggs” on Saturdays and Sundays. Tavern offers not one, but two, ways for you to get a bit buzzed with a Bloody Mary: the Bloody Decks combines Skyy vodka and Ballast Point Bloody mix, or you can take a trip to their custom Hail Mary cart, the affectionately named custom Bloody Mary bar where you can build your own beverage.
The Duck Dive:
If the idea of Bloody Mary bars at the beach intrigues you, drop in on the Duck Dive on a Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit their Absolut Bloody Mary bar that combines your choice of Absolut Vodka, Absolut Citron or Absolut Peppar with your choice of cheese, bacon or salt, and you build the rest. Make your Mary just the way you want it.
Union Kitchen + Tap:
With dishes such as Brioche French Toast and Bacon Tomato Flatbread, Union Kitchen + Tap makes brunch seem absolutely gourmet. Even the breakfast beverages have that extra oomph. This North County eatery slips in some south-of-the-border flavor to its house cocktail, the Mexican Mary: a mixture of tequila, pineapple and Serrano.
Uptown Tavern:
What is the only place in San Diego where you can order a Hawaiian Loco Moco and a southern-inspired Chicken and Waffle from the same menu? Get down to Uptown Tavern in Hillcrest for a brunch menu that promises to keep you going back for more. Try the House Bloody, served in a pint glass with a celery slated rim, but if one won’t do the trick for you, ask for the Skyy Bloody Bar instead.
ViVa bar + kitchen:
Imagine an assortment of breakfast cuisine as bold, spicy and flavorful as a Bloody Mary. You may not realize it but you’re thinking of ViVa bar + kitchen, along with their vibrant and inventive brunch menu featuring items such as the Chorizo Omelet or Churro Waffles. Long live Latin traditions and flavors, which pair perfectly with the downtown restaurant’s Make Your Own Bloody Mary Bar.
