The InSlider Celebrates First Anniversary By Giving Back
San Diego’s favorite food truck, The InSlider, is celebrating its first anniversary by giving back big time this Wednesday, April 10. Before the Padres take on the Dodgers at 7:10pm, the food truck company will be raising money for three deserving charities.
The Inslider, known for bite-sized burgers, chicken sliders and sweet potato tots, will be set up in three locations surrounding Petco Park. All proceeds from the game day sales benefit three local charities: Urban Angels, Casa De Amparo and Mama’s Kitchen. Pick a charity to support, then visit www.theinslidersd.com for locations and times.
Casa de Amparo is near and dear to the heart of Stacey Werner, owner of The InSlider. The organization has been treating and preventing child abuse and neglect for more than 30 years. Both Urban Angels and Mama’s Kitchen provide nourishment to those in need. Urban Angels makes food donations and feeds the homeless and hungry every Wednesday. Mama's Kitchen delivers nutritional meals no charge to men, women and children living with AIDS or cancer.
The InSlider’s first anniversary event is making it easy to dine with a mission this Wednesday. The InSlider trucks will be stationed around Petco Park in the shape of a larger-than-life sized baseball diamond. In fact, Mission Brewery is The InSlider’s official third base location at 1441 L Street. Mission Brewery will offer special “slider pairings” from 2 pm until 6 pm on Wednesday.
