Halloween is on a Monday this year (bleah, and I can complain because it's my birthday on Halloween). Most of the parties are happening on Saturday, October 29. We'll be trick-or-treating at the International Cottages in Balboa Park on Saturday because toddler, but here are some fun things happening that evening!
Who’s ready to get freaky this Halloween weekend? Florent will be hosting their annual Freak Show party on October 29th with DJ sets from DJ Method , DJ Schoeny and DJ Brett Bodley. What’s Halloween without scary good drink specials, DJs and costume contests? Put on those devil ears and make your way to Whiskey Girl for a whole weekend of Halloween festivities. Start the party on Friday with music spun by DJ Thrasher then continue it on Saturday with a costume party with cash prizes and drink specials for Monster Bash attendees. On Sunday, Sun-RISE from the grave for Whiskey Girl’s costume brunch and catch all the NFL football games with a BLOODY good time drink while entering their costume contest hosted by “Super DJ” Romeo! Don’t wipe off that face paint just yet, the party continues through Monday with another costume contest and the chance to win some serious cash prizes!
Head to Double Deuce for a Halloweekend to remember, starting on Friday with no cover with costume, Happy Hour at 9p.m. and a welcome shot for Zombie Crawl participants until 10 p.m. On Saturday, DD will have spooky great deals for Monster Bash participants, such as $4 Dos XX and $6 Sailor Jerry. Get ready to ride on Sunday, as there will be free bull rides for those in costume and drink specials all night long like $5 Fireball and $4 well cocktails.
In North Park? Get ready to boogie at West Coast Tavern with their 70’s Disco Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 29th! Where your best Soul Train getup because there will be a costume contest at midnight with prizes and funky tunes spun by DJ DeeJay all night. Make sure to get there early; there is no cover for those partiers who arrive before 10 p.m.
For more family-friendly options, there are also Day of the Dead Festivals going on Saturday afternoon in Chula Vista, Old Town, and City Heights.
