I know that I've been very, very MIA lately, and I apologize. We're getting close to baby time, and I've been feeling a bit under the weather again, with keeping up with my day job and preparing for the baby.
But I'm not complaining! I've been to enough cool events and eaten enough wonderful things, that I've no right or reason to ever complain! Last Thursday was no exception. I was invited to partake in the VIP party for Dining Out Magazine's 10th Anniversary! The VIP event was held at Puesto, at their new location in The Headquarters downtown. The Headquarters hosts an array of upscale dining and shopping establishments.
Each table was set with a bowl of tortilla chips, fresh salsa, guacamole, and ceviche. The ceviche was incredible and such a treat on a hot day. Also making the rounds were some of their signature tacos. I managed to try the filet mignon and chicken al pastor, and both were very good, served with their trademark grilled cheese wrap in the taco. Definitely will head back for the tacos!
After the VIP event, the main event started, with Thorn St. Brewery serving up beer samples, cheese pros Vennissimo with cheese samples, Pizzeria Mozza serving white bean bruschetta toasts, Dallman's Fine Chocolates with a variety of gourmet candies, and Seasons 52 with dessert shots. Everything was delicious, and the lively band made the event incredibly fun and festive. Check out the pics below!
