City Sights Opens at ALTITUDE Sky Lounge

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the opening party for City Sights, a new area within Altitude Sky Lounge in the Gaslamp Marriott. The rooftop as a whole boasts a beautiful view and an incredible setting for a night out.
Thursday was clear, with just a slight chill in the air, but the heated, open air deck felt very nice despite the weather. Guests at the opening party were treated to a host of appetizers and cocktails.
Delicious chicken satay skewers with Thai peanut sauce were served and enjoyed. These were in close competition with those made by one of my best friends back home who makes the best satay sauce ever! So good!
Meat on a stick is always a good idea, and more skewers were served. Steak with a chipotle rub was the perfect compliment and a nice contrasting flavor from the chicken.
Kobe beef sliders were another delicious addition to the small feast!
These darling pastrami sliders on a pretzel roll were a hit will the attendees.
A huge cheese plate, which included brie, bleu cheese, sharp cheddar, and gouda, was served.

A scrumptious hummus was served with pita.

My favorite from this table? The ahi tuna served atop a bed of seaweed salad, on a thin tostada. Delicious.

Of course, the cocktails were divine! My first choice was a cherry smash, which included Sprite, cherry syrup, and a shot of vodka.

My husband started with the Raspberry Ice -- Sky Raspberry, lemonade, Sierra Mist, raspberries, and lemon. Refreshing!

More shots of the gorgeous view!

Final drink of the night -- the Blueberry Pomegranate mojito. It has antioxidants, so it's totally healthy, right?

Sipped by the cozy fire pit, it was the perfect end to the party.

Altitude offers an array of fun snacks and beverages, and hosts a happy hour Monday - Friday from 5 to 7, and all day Sunday! I can't wait to go back!

Hi Gwen,

What a lovely view captured in your pictures! The food also looks very delicious (can I have a slider now?!)

There are so many places to visit in San Diego. Good thing there are many bloggers too because one can't cover everything but it's nice to look around! ;)
