Eclipse Chocolat

Oh, my my. I can't believe that it took me this long to try Eclipse! A place dedicated to handmade chocolate? I'm so there.

This weekend, we decided that we had to try their amazing cupcakes. After debating the luscious flavors and seriously considering one of their loaf-shaped brownies instead, we decided to try the sea-salted caramel. I mean, how could you not want this cupcake? Salted caramel, and chocolate? I'm so there.

And since my husband can't eat chocolate without coffee, we ordered a latte. After the latte was ready (yes, my husband made me wait!!), we dug in to the cupcake. O. M. G. Thick, delicious fudge frosting with the lavender gray sea salt crystals adding the perfect contrast to cut the sweetness. The cake was equally chocolate. The texture was perfect chocolate: a little firm, but soft and cake-y.

The latte was one of the best I've had. No flavor shots for us! This latte was perfect on its own. Light, with a good flavor, matching perfectly with the richness of the cupcake.

I might go back tonight. And I'm not sharing this time. :)
