
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank is teaming up with local San Diego restaurants and food trucks to help feed hungry kids across the county.
Throughout the month of August these select restaurant and food truck locations will be promoting a featured dish. Each time that featured dish is sold they will donate one dollar to the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. The program provides weekend food chronically hungry elementary school children. Currently the Food Bank serves 800 children in 22 schools. With the continued support of the community and the Dollar A Dish campaign we will serve 1050 children in 26 schools in the 2011-2012 school year.
So if you're eating out in August, please stop by one of the Dollar A Dish participants and order their Food 4 Kids Featured Dish!
